4 Home Remedies for Burns (Sunburns)!

Sunburns are very common problem in the summer especially for fair skinned people.


While most people may just go for the cold water, these four home remedies might help you treat your burn a little better.

Oil from St. John’s wort for treating sunburn or burns from heaters.

In glass bottle with 800 ml olive oil are mixed 10 tablespoons st. John’s wort. The bottle is tightly closed and is left to rest for 30 days in warmer place. After 30 days it is strained and the oil is applied to the burned areas.

Also the same oil can be used internally for stomach ulcers or duodenum ulcers and against all fungal, parasitic and inflammatory diseases.

Marigold infused cloth coatings for burns

In a small can/bucket put a handful of marigold flowers, without stem or leaves and add half a liter of boiling water. Wait for half an hour or till the mixture is cold. Soak the cloth coatings in the mixture and apply them  on burned areas for 30-60 minutes. Repeat these steps until the burns are gone.

Parsley coatings against sunburns

Parsley can help in treating many health issues. This plant consists of over 50 different substances that are great for your health. One of the least known helpful uses of parsley is to treat burns.

Take a cluster of parsley, crush it in mortar and pestle, put it on gauze and apply it on the burned area.
Ointment from greater burdock for treating burns

100 ml of fresh juice from burdock root are added to 100 grams of lard. Mix them till it becomes a mash, then put it in glass jar, close it tightly and refrigerate it.

Apply the ointment on the burned areas and let it rest for at least an hour. The therapy lasts until healed.
